  What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractors start from the principle that good spinal alignment is essential to maintaining general good health, improved flexibility and posture, higher resistance to disease, better performance at sports and more energy for living. Spinal misalignment (Chiropractors refer to subluxations) distorts your nervous system and has been shown to have a negative effect on health.

Chiropractors locate, treat and prevent these spinal subluxations without drugs or surgery to reduce pain and restore good health. Chiropractors work with all the joints of the body, concentrating particularly on the spine, using their hands and /or instruments to make gentle, specific adjustments to improve the efficiency of the nervous system and unleash the body's natural healing ability.

Who does chiropractic benefit?
A diversity of complaints can be alleviated and improved by adjusting spinal subluxations or misalignments. Therefore, most people of any age can benefit. Some common complaints are listed below:

  • Back, Shoulder and Leg pain
  • Neck and Arm pain
  • Sciatica, joint and muscular problems
  • Sports injuries
  • Headaches, Dizziness and Migraines
  • Pre & Post Natal issues
  • Infantile Colic
  • Children with Ear Infections
  • Asthma
  • the list goes on.

Our registered Chiropractor(s) will generate a tailored care schedule for you, with the intention of reducing your spinal misalignments, and the subsequent related problems, with a series of spinal adjustments. These will take place over a series of visits designed to give maximum effect with minimal financial concern or inconvenience to your daily schedule.

Professional Regulation:
All the Chiropractors at Back to Health are registered with the General Chiropractic Council (GCC). Chiropractors are registered by law under the Chiropractors Act 1994 and the title 'Chiropractor' is protected under this legislation. The profession is statutorily regulated through the GCC and it is illegal to practice as a Chiropractor without being registered with the GCC. Chiropractors can only be registered if they have appropriate qualifications, are of good character and are physically and mentally fit.
